PEGGY'S FIRST FISH! A Tarpon!!!

Stand back guys!..... Peggy Miskin has upped the ante!... Peggy pulled this fine specimen from the Brazos Santiago Pass at South Padre Island, Texas while fishing with Captain Randy Rogers...
WOW! Talk about beginners luck... this is Peggy's first saltwater fish.... (nothing to it aye Peggy?)... and to top it all off she took the 44" approx 35lb. Tarpon in a mere 37 minute battle in which Mr.Tarpon displayed aerial acrobatics three times... it was no match for Peggy and the 10wt Thomas & Thomas fly rod equipped with a Fin Nor #3 reel and 10 wt Tarpon Taper line.... finish that off with a shock leader of 35lb BOA Marlin wire and a black and white "Mink Mullet" fly... tied by none other than Capt. Randy... and you better be ready to take a picture!...

this is the biggest Red Fish Buford has ever caught....
he was pleased to release it after the 15 minute battle...
