Snook and CaptRandy

Captain Randy's first charter as a fishing guide was on Toledo Bend Reservoir in East Texas in the early 80's... after that it was fish, fish, fish, and more fish, hunt, fish. In 1985 Capt Randy (fishing with Capt. Dave Harrelson, out of South Padre Island) caught a 300lb blue marlin (can be seen above the bar at the Sea Ranch Restraunt). He was hooked, in 1986 he moved to South Padre Island, paid a lot of dues, got his liscense and opened Capt. Randy's Charters. He's won a few tournaments, most recently the Port Isabel/South Padre Island Guides Association sponsored, Quantum Guides Cup Tournament (team of a guide and an amatuer), held at Fishermans Wharf on South Padre Island.

 Today CaptRandy is running a 24' Carolina Skiff ( the "RipTide") with a four stroke Honda... the boat is rugged, stable, roomy and the motor is fast and dependable. He's fishing in the shallow clear waters of the Laguna Madre for redfish, speckled trout, flounder, and snook. Also from the tip of the jetties to the TPWD's fish sanctuary (artificial reef) 7 miles southeast pursuing Tarpon, King Mackeral, Ling, Shark and assorted offshore reef fish (bonita, dorado, sailfish, blue runner, amberjack, etc.)
